St Mary’s Nursery Committee

St Mary’s Nursery School Committee are a group of parents and carers that commit to volunteering a small amount of their time to aid the smooth and efficient running of the Nursery. The Trustees sit on the Committee to advise on the day to day running of the Nursery.

Becoming a Trustee

We are truly fortunate that our Committee is a passionate, dedicated and hands-on team. As a parent/carer you are eligible to apply for the role of Trustee. You will be required to attend half-termly meetings and to complete a form for Ofsted (EY2), undergo a DBS check and complete online Safeguarding and Trustee training.

Becoming a Trustee can be extremely rewarding as you are able to influence the future of the setting and support the great works that are already happening within in our Nursery. Our Trustees are responsible for:

• Managing the setting’s finances.

• Ensuring that the Nursery fully implements the requirements of the statutory Early Years Framework.

• Working in partnership with the children’s parents/carers.

• Safeguarding.

• Supporting staff professional development.

• Fundraising.
