At St Mary’s Nursery School we have a defined admissions process, which we ask that you follow in order that we can fulfil our safeguarding and child protection obligations.

before registering

We advise parents to visit the nursery in the first instance. This allows them to meet our staff and get a feel for what we do. If an in-person visit is not possible, we can arrange a virtual tour via Zoom.

Nursery visits can be arranged at short notice by calling Katie or Sophie, our nursery supervisors, on 01892 611721 or via email at supervisor@stmarysnurseryschool.org.uk.

registration process

If you would like to register your interest in a place for your child at St Mary’s Nursery, please complete an Enquiry Form.

We will then contact you to discuss your requirements in more detail. Once we have confirmed that we can accommodate your preferred session(s), we require a £25 booking fee to secure your place. We cannot accept your child at nursery until this fee is received. Payment can be made via bank transfer to:

Account number: 31215418 Sort code: 40-18-39

Once we have received your booking fee, we will confirm your place in writing and send remaining registration forms and EYEE grant forms (where applicable). We require these forms to be completed and returned before your child starts at nursery. Please click here for our Registration Form.

We reserve the right to refuse admission if these forms have not been returned. Children are then offered two free 1 hour settling in sessions before their formal start date to familiarise themselves with the nursery.

office hours

Please be aware that our administration staff work only on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. As such, there may be a delay in responding to your enquiry. We thank your for your understanding.

If you would like further information regarding our Admissions process please view our Admissions Policy.

As a childminder, I was very fussy about which nursery I would pick for my daughter. We were put at ease when we came to view, and an hour later she didn’t want to leave. We signed her up straight away!
